Terms of Use.

These Terms of Use apply when you use the RPLDirect website at https://rpldirect.com.au, our free skills check and your RPLDirect account. By using the website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

RPLDirect is operated by Talynx ("we", "us", "our").

About our service

We provide information about Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), eligibility checks and support services to help people have their existing skills and experience recognised.

  • We are not a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). We do not assess competency and we do not issue qualifications.
  • Qualifications are assessed and issued only by Registered Training Organisations, under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Each RTO makes its own assessment decision.
  • The skills check and anything we tell you about a possible match is general guidance only. It is not an assessment and not a promise of a result.
  • We do not guarantee any outcome, including a qualification, a visa, a licence, registration, employment or any migration result.

Course information

Qualification details on this website, such as codes, titles, units and packaging rules, are based on the national register at training.gov.au. Qualifications are updated, superseded and changed over time, and our pages may not always show the latest version. The official record on training.gov.au always prevails. Please check it, or ask us, before you make decisions.

Your responsibilities

When you use the website you agree to:

  • give true, accurate and complete information, and keep your account details up to date
  • provide only genuine evidence of your skills and experience. If you give us false, altered or fraudulent information or evidence, we will stop working with you and close your account, and we may report it to the relevant Registered Training Organisation or authorities
  • keep access to your email account and your sign-in secure, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account
  • use the website only for lawful purposes

You must not:

  • misuse, disrupt or try to gain unauthorised access to the website, our systems or other people's accounts
  • copy or collect content from the website in bulk by automated means (for example scraping), except normal search engine indexing
  • attempt to bypass our security, spam protection or rate limits, or introduce viruses or harmful code
  • upload, send or link to anything that is illegal, offensive, misleading or that infringes someone else's rights
  • pretend to be someone else

Fees

Using the website and the free skills check costs nothing. If you decide to go ahead with a service, we will tell you the fees in writing, along with what is included, before any service starts. You only pay once you have agreed. We do not take payments on this website at the moment. Assessment fees charged by a Registered Training Organisation are set by that RTO.

Intellectual property

The content of this website, including its text, design, graphics, logos and the RPLDirect name and branding, belongs to Talynx or is used with permission. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You must not copy, republish or use our content or branding for any other purpose without our written permission.

Qualification and unit information from training.gov.au is © Commonwealth of Australia, where applicable, and is used under the terms set by its owner.

The website links to or uses third-party services, such as YouTube (videos), WhatsApp (messaging), Google Maps and training.gov.au. We do not control these services and we are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

Our liability

We take care to keep the information on this website accurate and the website available, but we do not promise that it will always be complete, current, error-free or uninterrupted.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded. Apart from those rights, and to the extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the website or its information, or from decisions made by a Registered Training Organisation, employer, licensing body or government authority
  • where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to supplying the relevant service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again

Suspending or closing accounts

You can delete your account at any time under My account → Your data. We may suspend or close an account, or refuse to provide services, if you break these terms, give false information or evidence, or misuse the website. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The new version will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If you keep using the website after a change, you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
