Many people learned their trade outside Australia. The good news: experience gained overseas can often be used as evidence for RPL, as long as you can show it clearly.
What matters is the evidence
The assessor looks at what you can do, not where you learned it. Overseas experience is assessed against the same Australian units of competency as local experience.
Helpful evidence includes:
- reference letters from overseas employers, on company letterhead where possible
- payslips, contracts or tax records that show your employment
- photos and videos of your work
- certificates or training records from your home country
Documents in another language
If your documents are not in English, you may need translations. Your consultant will tell you what is needed before you spend any money on them.
You can start from anywhere
The whole process can be started online, so you can begin while you are still overseas. Send your answers through the free skills check and we will contact you by WhatsApp, phone or email.
A qualification is not a visa
An Australian qualification can support your career, but on its own it does not guarantee a visa, a licence or a job. Migration skills assessments are a separate process. We will always be clear about what RPL can and cannot do for you.
